New Years Resolutions 2014

Hello everyone! I'm not normally one for new years resolutions simply because I never stick to them, however this year I thought I'd really try and give it a go..
  1. Be more organised - This is a tricky one, I am quite possibly THE least organised person you can meet. However I am determined to turn that around, no more leaving things to the last minute, no more untidy bedroom and no more not knowing where I'm supposed to be when, I WILL be organised...
  2. Blog more - I really do want to try and make a proper attempt at this blogging thing. In 2014 I hope to be able to find a bit more time to write some more ramblings on my little blog.
  3. Do more things that make me happy - Throughout the course of 2013 I have found myself doing various things that do not make me happy, interest me or fulfil me in anyway shape or form. Although I am aware that some of the things in life are simply mandatory and are not meant to be particularly enjoyable, other things are optional, however. Therefore I would like to do more of the activities that fill me with nothing but joy and positive energy, and less of the things that don't.
  4. Go outside the boundaries of my comfort zone - I really feel that over the last few months of 2013 I have found the boundaries of my comfort zone and in 2014 I really want to push myself past these and hopefully overcome some of my many phobias.
I am also going to start a journal jar (I'm 2 years too late I know..), so hopefully this time next year that little jar will be filled with all the wondrous things I have experienced and achieved in 2014.

Happy new year everyone!

A walk in the woods

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Hey everyone! Today me and my mum decided to take a stroll through the woods because lets be honest, there truly is nothing better than a walk through the woods to burn off all the turkey and extra chocolates you've eaten over christmas.
Green leaves on trees in december, say whaaaat?!

Mini pinecone!

Mumma
I really do love walking, especially when the weather is reasonably mild for the time of year. Although I am considerably excited for the snow to arrive now!

I hope you all had a lovely christmas.

Top 5 Favourite Nail Polishes

Hi Everyone! I can't stand it when my nails don't have any polish on them, so I thought I would show you my top 5 favourite colours from my ever-growing collection.

Essie - Bobbing for Baubles

I've got a serious obsession with the colour navy and this is the perfect navy polish. I found it in tkmaxx a few weeks ago and have loved it ever since.

Models Own - Southern Lights

SO. SPARKLY. I really don't think I need to go into detail of why I love this polish. It is the perfect sparkly polish for a feature nail, or why not go the full way and paint all your nails sparkly? Go glitter or go home. I usually find nail polish with this much pigment and glitter an absolute ball-ache to get off, but surprisingly I find this one ok. A somewhat pleasant surprise.

Maybelline Colour Show - Sugar Crystals

This polish is a soft pink coloured shimmery polish, a perfectly subtle over coat which goes perfectly with pretty much everything. I have occasionally worn this on it's own for work/college when I don't want something quite as eccentric as my usual choice.

Essie - Cute as A Button

When I first purchased this colour I really wasn't convinced by it. I'd apply it and by the next day it had chipped and completely faded, but from experience I have found that putting on a base coat and a top coat makes it last for at least 3 days. The thing I like most is the colour; I would describe it as somewhere in between coral and pink... poral?!

Rimmel Salon Pro - Hip Hop

I can't put my love for this polish into words. It lasts for way over a week without a top coat and doesn't dull slightly. I wore this constantly throughout the summer and will definitely go back to it during the winter. A must have if you ask me.

I hope you enjoyed my first post, please leave me a comment and tell me how I did!

An introduction of sorts...

Hello! First of all I'd like to thank you sincerely for stopping by my little blog, it means a lot that you've found me in this big, scary world that is the internet eeek!

So... my name is Lucy, I am 16 years old and I currently reside in a small town in Lincolnshire, England. Although the town is small and slightly boring I really like how comforting and tranquil it is. Someday I dream of moving away to somewhere hot, but deep down I know that my 'home' will always be here.

I've decided to start this little blog about my life/beauty/fashion as I absolutely love wasting hours away reading other peoples posts about their favourite products and all the interesting things they've been up to.

Thank you SO much for reading my first ever post (eeeek) and I really hope you stick around to read some more of my ramblings!
