Passing my driving test, turning 18 and leaving school...

I sometimes find it quite corny when people say that they've had 'the best year ever' because I think it goes without saying that your life can't be perfect all the time, and sometimes bad things do happen. Maybe it's because I had a rough couple of years before 2015 or maybe it's just because I've matured and learnt to find the positive in every situation but I truly believe that the past 12 months have been the best of my entire life!

I spent the majority of last summer learning to drive. I was petrified about getting on the roads and the thought of third gear made me want to vom. However with the help of my lovely instructor (God bless you, Sue, you're fab) I managed to pass my test first time in October! I was so proud of myself and literally couldn't believe I'd actually managed to do it. I'm now able to go on road trips in my little Mini and it truly is the best feeling in the world, there's just so much freedom!

On the 12th May I turned 18, this was another big milestone in my life as I'm sure you can imagine. I had a really special birthday followed by a joint party with my bestio Maisie from whatmaisiewore. It was a great night and the memories (and disposable camera pictures!) are something that I'm going to treasure for the rest of my life.

The same week I turned 18 I also left school. I have despised being in education ever since I walked in the gates of my primary school for the first day of reception. The whole thing makes me incredibly anxious and I honestly do not believe I will be the kind of person to look back on their school days and wish they could go back. It was really lovely gathering all of us together for once and dressing up as disney princesses, but walking out of those gates for the final time was a bloody good feeling!
