Bloggers don't lie

It's true, the bloggers don't lie; in particular they don't lie when it comes to beauty product reviews. The soap & glory aisle in boots is a location that I have skimmed by with minimal enthusiasm in the past few years, this doesn't mean I haven't been aware of the hype this range has created. As you are probably aware it was my birthday a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to receive 3 products from my good friend (and fellow blogger) Laura.

Soap & Glory - The Scrub of Your Life

I've never really been a fan of exfoliators, I'm not a huge fan of the 'gritty' feeling these products create and the few that I have tried have left me feeling unimpressed. This one, however, is an exception. My skin has never felt so smooth! I've been using this one a few times a week rather than every night as I don't want to over exfoliate... is that a thing? It is now. (But seriously anyone else have a fear of scrubbing so hard their skin scrubs off or is that just me?)

Soap & Glory - Clean On Me

A little confession here, perfumed soaps make me nervous. I've got fairly sensitive skin and therefore stay away from them as a general rule. I decided to give this one a go though and deal with the consequences if and when they happened. I've used the soap everyday for the past 2 weeks and can report no reaction, only smooth, lovely scented, clean skin. I particularly like the pump on this product which makes it incredibly convenient and easy to use.

Soap & Glory - Hand Food

I wouldn't class myself as a hand cream fanatic (unlike my Mum) and only use it on a very rare basis. My hands don't really get dry due to the lack of work they partake in. The smell of this moisturizer has made me want to use hand cream on a much more regular basis now though, seriously this scent has become my cocaine, I just can't get enough! I have also had confirmation from the hand cream hoarder herself (again, my mum) that this is a top notch product.

All in all I am a Soap & Glory convertee, my question to you is what should be the next product I purchase?!

Friday Feeling

Whoah there it's been awhile since I've sat down and wrote a blog post. In the past 2 weeks so many exciting things have happened, I don't know what it is about the sun being out but it seems to release a side of my personality that just wants to go craaaaazy!

So, the most exciting thing that's happened in the fortnight I've been gone is my birthday! I turned 17 years old last monday which now also means I am legal to drive. My birthday itself was fairly uneventful, I am in-fact lucky enough to share my birthday with one of my besties Maisie (you should all go check her blog out, it's super fab and she is one of my main blogging inspirations) which made the day a little more exciting.

Alongside the celebrations it's also been exam season, as I am sure you are aware if you go to school in England (or have been on twitter in the past few weeks, I swear if some people spent as much time revising as they do moaning about revising they'd get a hell of a lot more done!). I actually only had one exam which went pretty damn good, the rest of my time has been spent trying to finish of all of my photography and media work. A rather large tantrum and a few tears later I handed everything in today which is a HUGE relief.

I think this pretty much sums it up really....

Last friday it was my friend Laura's year 11 prom, I've known Laura since we made our guide promise together back when we were innocent little 11 year olds, 6 years later we're all grown up and on the accent to adulthood. I was honored when Laura asked me if I would be willing to take some pictures of her before she left and I have been counting down the days ever since (we've been planning this for almost a year so I'm sure you can imagine how excited I was!). I won't bombard you with all 500 pictures I captured and instead settle for this one of me and Laura. Small sidenote, Laura isn't actually a giant, she was wearing fairly large heels and I am just really short (hence the title of my blog!).

I am hoping to get back on the blogging band wagon now and have planned quite a few posts that should be posted in the up coming weeks.

Manicure Monday - Models Own speckled egg review

Hello everyone! Once again I'm a little late on the bandwagon so for that I apologise, however I had to share with you one of my recent purchases. Models Own released a collection of 5 pastel coloured 'speckled' polishes, they were released just in time for easter and are designed to look just like mini eggs (well... maybe not officially but whateves). Sidenote: This collection is virtually identical to Illamasqua's speckled collection but only a third of the price. Interesting.

I chose the colour 'Swan Lilac' which is a gorgeous pastel colour, perfect for spring/summer. The polish applied really well, I did do 3 coats which is unusual for models own, however I wanted to make sure it wouldn't chip easily. I normally find that nail polishes with bits in (technical terminology here of course) have a really horrible texture to them but this one doesn't at all, it feels really glossy just like any other polish which I love.

I took this picture on my phone this morning to show you them in natural light. So glossy!
Overall I am really impressed with this polish and will definitely be purchasing one of the other shades.

OOTD and a haircut

Dress - Primark
Shoes- Topshop
Jacket - F&F @ Tesco
Hello everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your saturday, it was lovely and sunny this morning so me and my mum decided to make the most of it and go for a stroll. I also managed to put together a fairly decent outfit so thought I would share it!
My beloved cambridge satchel!

I had my haircut last weekend as well which was a pretty big deal for me, it makes me super nervous going for a different hairstyle as I always fear I will hate it! I really felt like I needed something a little different though, a new haircut always makes me feel like a fresh start, anyone else agree?! But anyway, so far so good I am loving the shorter length.

Makes me feel so happy to see all of the lovely flowers starting to grow, I'm not a winter person at all.

I hope the weather has been nice where ever you are today!
